Jugular, subclavian, axillary, brachial, basilic and cephalic veins. Catheter-related thrombosis, Paget-Schroetter syndrome.
Lower limbs
Lower limb arterial
Iliac, femoral, popliteal and calf vessels. Flow profile, velocity criteria for stenosis, aneurysms.
Lower limb venous
Deep system (compression) and superficial system (reflux on Valsalva and calf squeeze). CEAP classification.
Abdomen and retroperitoneum
Abdominal arterial
Aorta, iliac arteries, coeliac axis, superior mesenteric artery. Patient preparation, aneurysm screening.
Renal arteries
Direct assessment of the origin, renal-aortic ratio, intrarenal Doppler, parvus-tardus pattern.

These protocols describe the scanning technique and are addressed to whoever actually
performs the examination. Diagnostic thresholds and reporting criteria (degree of
stenosis, clinical classifications) are collected separately in the
reporting guidelines.
